Just curious, I know that the 6-8 week timeline is somewhat generous, has anyone in the midwest gotten a passport recently and can tell me what is reasonable to expect?

Got one recently for my baby. Don't remember howong it took but I would say 4-6 weeks is more likely then 6-8 if that's helpful. Her birth certificate took a drop longer to come back for some reason though

My daughter applied for one Taanis Esther. It came before Pesach!

I’m not in the Midwest. But my husband submitted his on Rosh Chodesh Nissan and it came Shabbos chol hamoed, thru the Arizona office. We also renewed some of the kids at the same time and we haven’t gotten the kids ones back yet. We’re on the east coast, not tristate.

For security purposes all paperwork that is returned is sent separately.

Thanks all. I feel a bit better. I know that the last time I got my passport done--I dont' think it was a "tri-state office" either, I remember thinking it wouldn't come in time and it did in the end (wasn't done expedited).
Our trip is supposed to be in 7 weeks and we didn't expedite it either hoping our gamble is correct.
