My crockpot is too hot on low but keep warm not hot enough.
I heard some people use Pennies as a kind of spacer to elevate the pot, does that sound safe?
Or should I use aluminum foil?
I’m worried about chemicals getting into the air or something

I've used crumpled up balls of aluminum foil to elevate the crockpot in such situations

Thank you, does anyone know if there is a safety issue with doing this?

I actually used a disposable muffin tin. I cut it to fit the crock pot and it's perfect
