I defrost chicken in the fridge on Thursday, but Friday morning when I'm making the chicken it's freezing cold my hands get cold and it barely defrosted. I know it's not safe to leave on the counter and I also don't want to put it in my sink so that I don't have to disinfect it after. Do you have any suggestions for defrosting it so I's not so cold.

I like to keep it out on the counter for 2 hrs before putting in the fridge to continue to thaw.
Or put it in the fridge for a full 36 hrs.

place the chicken in a baking pan- try to use a disposable one..fill it with water and place in the refrigerator.. works every time in my house..

Put it in a bowl of water on the counter for a few hours. Change the water every half hour.

Don't work harder--work smarter. Take it out of the freezer on Wednesday and let it defrost in the fridge for two days instead of one. Easy-shmeasy and not a lick of extra work or risk.
