I found a tray of lemon bars in my freezer while I was cleaning out some room. Would you not eat them if you have the minhag not to eat sour stuff on Rosh Hashana?

I have lemon flavored protein bars which keep me going… I think I’ll nibble some. But if it’s outright lemon bars, I would try to refrain. At least, if I nibble by the light of the freezer in the dark of the night, I wouldn’t share that with anybody.

LOL. Everyone looks and no one answered. I jokingly offered one to my FIL and he said that is what he wanted for dessert.

It's from the s&s.
I'll post the recipe soon. (after I do my floors....) Tongue Out
btw, it calls for crushed nuts, which make them even better, but I left them out this time....

Not everyone refrains from lemon...
I think some people use lemon instead of vinegar in recipes.

Whatever it is, I always remember how a teacher once said that it's better to eat nuts (gematria of cheit) than do an actual cheit. So I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about that, but rather bigger things. Smile

Why not? There's so much sugar in them already, it's sweet!
