We are looking into the small community in Northeast Philadelphia. Its the CBS Kollel (or s/t to that effect). I'm interested in knowing how big (or maybe I should say small ) the frum community is besides the kollel (10 ppl kollel). and how frum is the frum community.
also, what is the cost of living there like? availability and cost of kosher food/chicken? do you need one car? two?

my husbands from there and my in-laws live there.
if you pm me questions I can try to get you answers.
It's a smallish community.
I know my in-laws shop in lakewood for the milk and chickens and other kosher products because it works out cheaper.

I grew up in NE Philly and my parents are still there. Housing is relatively cheap and you can get meat and chicken but it does come out cheaper to do monthly or so runs to lakewood....
