That's a good idea. Are Key limes in season now?

They're in season during the summer, but certain markets will carry them all year long.

Baker's Choice brand. She bought it in Crown Heights. You can make it yourself. It comes in 12 oz bottles.

In searching for recipes to use it in, I found a few recipes on how to make it.

I've made many, many pumpkin pie recipes and never used sweetened condensed milk.

So with bottle number one we made chocolate truffles. They are easy and really good.

18 oz. good quality chocolate or chocolate chips (I used trader Joes)
14 oz sweetened condensed milk.

Put in pot and melt over low heat until smooth. Stir in 1 T. pure Vanilla Extract (in the future I may try liqueur or a different extract for different tastes.)

Pour into a bowl and cover. Chill for 2 to 3 hours until firm. Roll into small balls and then roll them in cocoa powder, ground nuts. sprinkles or whatever you like. chill.

Homemade truffles. I love them! I made three different kinds last year to give to our therapists.

Just drizzle it over strawberries...? (pie/tart crust on the bottom optional).
Or it's simply great on toast.

I know some people boil the whole unopened tin in bain marie to make
toffee topping but I'm always scared of tins exploding.
