I work part time (a few hours, 3 days a week) and use to leave my now 6 month old a pumped bottle while I was away. This was all fine until now- he refuses to take it! (I did start giving him cereal but I think he will also need to drink while I'm away.) Any suggestions on how I can get him to start taking the bottle again?

ditto with the sippy cup - some babies just outgrow the bottle sooner than others ...

thank you for replying. Do you mean a sippy cup with breast milk inside?

Sure, you can try a sippy cup with breast milk inside. Also, you can mix breast milk with his cereal and that way he's getting several oz of milk.

Maybe it's the bottle or the nipple on the bottle? Are you still using a slow flow nipple? Maybe your baby needs a fast flow bottle nipple?

Or teething could be bothering your baby?

Recently my baby went on a bottle strike at his daycare for 2-3 days in a row. He was more interested in eating food. So, I made food with plenty of milk in it. I think part of the problem was he was teething those days. He liked eating cold food and chewing on his sippy cup. Now he's back to taking the bottle there.
