Where do they come from? Dh only wears them on shabbos, but bil wears them every day. Where do the little black dots come from? Oh, and they don't come out! Or, I haven't figured out how and they look like a marker or grease, but where from?

It's mold. Won't come out & I think it comes from excessive humidity...maybe they were stored when not completely dry. Happens sometimes.

Yes, it's mold. If you bleach it, it will disintegrate. He probably sweats and throws it into the hamper. lethal combination.
Nature Bright removes mold!

It's not from scratching pimples - wrong color, and yuck. And, it's not mold because it's like one dot in random places. Meaning, one dot per shirt....at least I don't think so.

what about bird poop falling from the sky ...
try putting bleach directly on it - then scrub with detergent & baking soda ... rinse well ...

I don't know what it comes from... but try this. Make the shirt wet, then squeeze some Cascade dishwashing gel on the stain, scrub with a toothbrush, and let it sit for 20 minutes. Scrub again, and run it through the washing machine.
This works for me on all white and off white clothes.

My dh used to wonder why he had pink stains on the back of his collar on his white shirts...until he realized it was from dipping his pinkies in the havdallah wine and dabbing it on the back of his neck.

I have a new washing machine and sometimes there are tiny beige dots on the clothes. anyone else have this? any solution?
