Silly me cut the hot peppers in my hands about an hour and half ago and I have only made it this far by keeping a bowl of freezing water by my side and plunging my hands in when they get unbearable. Any advice? (other than use my brain next time?)

dab toothpaste all over the burned areas. don't cover it, let it air out. and don't rub it in, just dab.
works for minor burns in general.

feel better!

Lavender oil works wonders on scalds and skin problems in general. I've never tried it on hot pepper burns (never heard of that one before Exclamation ) but it's certainly worth a try. If you don't have any, it's worthwhile to get a small bottle to keep handy in your kitchen.

Try milk. It works for eating, I think it would work for your hands as well.
