If usually do not like the taste of wine in cooked food...
I am looking at a recipe that has wine in it. Should I replace the wine with broth?

I'm making a slow cooker mushroom barley soup.
It calls for mushtrooms, barley, carrots, celery, soy sauce, red wine, dill, salt, pepper...

Huh? I thought we were talking wine here...

yes, you need the broth... or replace with water and some consomme powder.

Sorry for the confusion... In my original post I asked if I should substitute the amount of wine and use broth instead.
So should I just skip the wine, or replace it with some chicken broth?

Ah... no.... Wine jsut makes it more savory, it's not for adding more liquid. It will be fine without it.
