We sit and learn, cuddle the little ones, play dreidel, sing niggunim...eat...we weren't always as machmir as we should be about not working and sitting by the menorah but took on the hachlata to follow through with that. It has made it so special. B"H!

We haven't established anything ourselves yet, but I have wonderful memories of my father singing a really bouncy tune of haneiros halalu and dancing with us. My mother usually videotaped.
And then we usually ate. It's that time of evening.

We sing haneiros halalu and ma'oz tzur. Then we dance while we sing some of the chldrne's chanuka songs. Since our kids are still very little, we can make sure we have a small Jewish-themed present for every night (dreidels one night; Aleph-Bais puzzle; Hebrew letter beads; story-book) so we give the present and play with it for a little while.

Then we eat.

Isn't there a thing that you're not supposed to eat?
