I couldn't get the jar opened. The lid turned but wouldn't come off. The button wasn't pushed up.
I pierced the lid and off the lid came. Do you think it's good enough to use?

Probably. Then bottom line is that it was well sealed and air tight, right? But if you have the slightest doubt, better to just not use it.

sounds like it was sealed too tight ... you gave it air to release ... and opened it ... what seems to be the problem ...

That I could turn and turn and turn the lid...but it wouldn't come off until the piercing. I thought maybe air had gotten into it. I don't know, that's why I asked here...
