my hotmail account (for the third time) has sent out a spam message (somehow someone hacked into my email account) and this time also wiped out my entire inbox (that had important things that I dont think I can ever get back).....

SO.....I would like to change to another email. what email do you have and do you find it a good one?

I've been happy with gmail and so has my whole family. The kids also use yahoo and they like it as well.

I have Yahoo & Gmail. Doesn't your ISP offer e-mail? It's usually free. I like Yahoo and Gmail for some things, hate them for others.

I use my own usually but have gmail as well.
I don't like yahoo as when you check your mail there are pictures that I would never want my kids (or dh) to see

I LOVE gmail.
I have all the others... and I find it the most user-friendly.

Gmail is the ULTIMATE sorter.
It has a function called Labels. And you can sort items multiple times...
for example- you can take an email... and call it-
"family"
"pictures"
"simchas"

And it will be in all 3 folders.

It is really cool.

Gmail is the greatest!

yahoo gets tons of spam. do you still need an invitation to get a gmail account ?

No.

The advantage of having a gmail account is you can also use their entire range of programs - calendar, docs, reader, etc. And you can share these files with other gmail users if you wish. Hubby and I do our budgeting with the Google Docs spreadsheet and we can independently update or change as we need.

gmail has a great spam filter, love the calendar, and love that there are no pictures there. There are a lot of fun features, especially in the labs.

and very easy to check from any computer.

I use all three.

gmail is great and my favourite.
-google docs etc. are great
-easy search

yahoo has the advantage of being able to belong to yahoo groups

gmail all the way!!!
used to have yahoo and aol
gmail is definitely the best at sorting out spam
plus there are so many great features its customizable and very user friendly
