must they b boiled in odd numbers?
Is it halacha?

I was told they have to b boiled in odd numbers. I dont remember y but I want to kno if its halacha.

minhag.
It's in case they have blood spots, so a majority will be kosher.
Nowadays most eggs we buy aren't fertilized so it's not usually an issue.

I think that's only till number 3 for chazaka/rov, but after that, the odd number isn't as necessary.

That's right, because if you only have 2 eggs in the pot and 1 has a "blitz trop" (a blood spot), the second one as well as the pot might be problematic. The chances are rare for 2 out of 3 or 2 out of 4 to have a "blitz trop".

I do a minimum of three because if there is a problem with one egg and there is only one other in the pot it can be a prob. but once there is more then 2 its ok
