my mil wants to buy a crib for ds. she's also getting one for my sil. she's going shopping with my sil today and would like to do both in one day. I'm having a friends shower tonight in my house and its not really a good day for me. she knows all this and said if I cant come today, we'll go another day. but I fell bad to make her go out twice. should I inconvenience myself for what she's giving me or is it ok to make her go another day with me?

Is it not good or not possible? How is your relationship otherwise? Could you tell her what you are looking for and have her pick it out?
If inconveniencing yourself could be positive for your relationship and you can live with the inconvenience, I'd say try to go at the same time as your SIL.
If it wouldn't help the relationship (if she doesn't care for good or bad) or if it would be really too difficult for you to manage, you could find an alternate time that is super duper convenient for your MIL.
