I like to keep a basket of magazines in the bathroom so I can read while in the bathtub. I don't want books because those get ruined but I can't keep magazines that say G-d or discuss religious subject there either. So what can I keep there? I'm at my wit's end, I've had enough of parenting magazines and I don't want my kids reading anything inappropriate or DH looking at half-naked women. Any ideas?

Seriously thought, I will follow this thread.
I'd say what we have in ours, some funky book sale stuff, but I don't want to out myself to my relatives here.

That's funny, they actually made books?! Oh well, it still is a book though. I need magazines that I can read, get wet, and dispose of.

Thanks but I don't think I want to relive my teenage years right now . So no magazines huh? I guess I can always get a cooking magazine (as if I don't have enough cookbooks).

I like current events so I buy a new yorker or vanity fair. Or if I'm in a girly mood a vogue to look at the clothes.

If I was single perhaps, with DH around these are a definite no, no.

Mentalfloss is a fun magazine with all kinds of trivia.
Real simple is great, would require a bit of work to rid it of ads tho

I go through DH's music catalogs to see what is the most expensive piece of equipment. Last time, it was a guitar for $7,699. Seriously (apparently, it was used by some famous rock star) (I did get a kick that it was so close to 770).
What about soduko/puzzle books? Figure them out & trash them.

I was talking about taking a bath with a magazine that can get ruined by water, no problem.

My kids have a subscription to the National Wildlife Federation's magazines for kids. They have different ones for different ages. My kids love them and the oldest youth version - called Ranger Rick - makes for perfect bathroom reading!

There is an entire series called The bathroom Book, which is very brief synopses of world literature, biographies of famous people, and collections of pithy sayings. Each item is just long enough to...finish before the person standing outside gets really mad.
