I cracked an egg in to a glass bowl and saw a blood spot.
What do I do with the bowl? I threw the egg out.
Thanks!

a) there's no transference due to heat
b) most likely, unless you buy free range eggs, there was no fertilization, so it wasn't really "blood"
c) most say you can still use the egg, just take out the blood
d) I wonder if it's baal tashchis to throw out the egg?

Ask a rav. For next time, maybe the egg is still edible (if hens and cocks are separated). Then you just take off the red.

I will have to ask. I always thought once it has a blood spot it's considered not kosher...

If you can remove the spot w/o breaking the yolk, e.g with a sliver of shell, then the blood--if it iS blood--came from a wound on the surface of the hen's reproductive tract and you can use the egg if you wish.

You're right: ask you LOR. He will need to know where the eggs are from etc. For example, if they are from free-range chickens then following the advice above might (and I only said might--you've got to ask) lead to eating mamash treif! As far as the bowl goes I can't imagine there's any problem since even if you had put a cold piece of meat in it it should be OK if you wash it well with soap and cold water (in the bathroom sink)
