I like a lightweight skirt and dressy blouse with a vest, or a simple blouse with a dressy vest. A menswear-type buttoned vest, not a sleeveless sweater. Better still would be a blouse with a fake vest attached, so that you have only one layer in back. Much cooler.

I think Atali should just take herself shopping.

Go to Talbots. I love a lot of their stuff for shabbos, but they don't fit me right. The style is slightly looser than I prefer, but I think that's the kind of level of modesty you're going for. I would size down, but I'm already a 2.
This dress is lovely - limited sizes online but they have it in the store.

I looove this dress - would it work close at the neckline with a 3/4 sleeve cardigan - or maybe a shell under it?

These bright skirts are amazing - 23inches is right below my knee, not sure how tall you are. A crisp white button down shirt and some fun jewelry would be perfect.

This with a white sleeved shell underneath and a white pencil skirt would look awesome.

I went to Macys and bought two sleavless dresses. They are mid-calf length and I wear them with a pencil skirt and long sleeve shell. They are cotton, machine washable and go in the dryer. I don't see them listed online but if you have time maybe you can check out what they have (they were not in the dresses section, but in the work clothes section)

This shirt with a pencil skirt would be really nice - lots of great colors and the ruffle is both in style and really feminine and nice for shabbos.

I love this "look" - I wish I could find a shirt like this would longer sleeves. Layering wouldn't work here. I'd pair it with red peeptoes. I knpw you probably wouldn't but think it would be fun and cute.

Oh how I love online shopping....when it's for someone else it doesn't cost me a penny haha

I was thinking about your Shabbos clothes challenge, and I reminded myself that I have dickies made for my ShABBOS suits very often so I don't need another layer - sometimes the suit comes with a camisole or pants and I use that for a dickie, as well as a kick pleat, if I can't shorten the skirt to enclose the slit. If you shop at Sym's, you can get their own brand of dresses & suits very cheaply, a lot of my stuff there cost only $7, and you can even buy another one to use for alterations. You just gotta think outside the box and be willing to reverse a shell or use linings, etc.
