I took 4 year old DD to the Pediatrician for 4 days of very strange diarrhea. Sorry for TMI but here goes....
For the Past 4 days she gets severe bouts of diarrhea that last for 1-2 hours once per day with tons of mucous in toilet and on tissues, and then she is fine. No blood either. Once it was the AM, Once PM, another time in middle of the night. No food allergies, no antibiotics.
She is acting fine, no fever, no strep, no anything else. I cut out all Dairy, and kept her diet simple and I am pumping her with accidophilus.
Pediatrician took cultures for Shigella, Campylobacter, and e coli....I sit and wait and WORRY ALOT!
I am going crazy with fear and worry. Its day 4, almost day 5. This is so strange to me. Has anyone had a kid do this to them and if so, any suggestions?

could it be a virus that just has to run its course? could it be stress or mold in the house ?

At this point, he doesnt know- have to wait for cultures at least 5 days....
