We're considering buying a Mac, but need to know first how it does with the Hebrew.
Will it be able to read word files written in Hebrew. Will we be able to type in Hebrew easily?
Any experience is welcome.
Thanks!

I have a mac. It opens 99% of documents in hebrew or not. Theres also an option to change the 'location' of computer to israel (one click) and then the keyboard types in hebrew and when your done you can jst change it back to uk/usa.
I like my mac its great but it takes time to get used to it.

I don't own one yet, but I have heard of Davka, a special word processor for the Hebrew world. I am sure, there is a version for Mac, too.

I can't tell you anything about Macs as I am a PC person, but I can tell you that Davkawriter's Hebrew is NOT compatible with programs like MSWord's Hebrew.

Mac have a brilliant "apple" version of microsoft word.
Its called Mac Office or something I think its about $75.

Iwork is also really good...depends what you are used to using. If you are changing from pc to mac, the microsoft mac version might be easier to use.
