my s-I-l is getting married this summer. she wants us all to wear summery dresses, preferably light purple (or light green) not satiny or puffy. I want something that I can wear a shell under (though I don't usually wear that style) but is built up a bit. I found this dress

if it was a little higher in the front & about $125 less I'd consider it. can you guys help me find another one? (I also had a baby 5 months ago & haven't gotten back into shape, so I'm about an 8 now, but will hopefully be about a 6 by then) Thanks!

125 less would be a 75 dollar dress, not sure if you're being realistic, unless you really want to hunt. How about this one? Macys always has 20% off coupons, you might need to just wait a few days for one.

It's not realistic to get a gown of that quality for $75. What about a full length skirt with chiffon on top, and a fancy twin set? I'm assuming you're asking for the shell so you can nurse? If this is your SIL, are you really required to wear a gown? You could also try cocomyles.

you can find amazing deals sometimes (I have a few months), I don't mind it being used...

But amazing steals aren't usually online. If you're going to be particular about the price, color, style and fabric then you need to just go in person and hunt the sales rack nonstop. But with a baby in tow, I personally wouldn't do it.

Try Lord and Taylor. They usually have coupons out for 20% or 25%. I would suggest waiting a bit, because the summer stuff is first coming out now, so it'll be regular price. Give it a few weeks, and it'll come down 25%.

Syms (now Filenes Basement) often carries that brand.
I also think that they do dresses for Davids Bridal, since I usually find similar dresses between the two brands. Eg:

So you can check for sales there as well.

My SIL is getting married in 5 wks and we are also wearing purple. I tried on that dress and it is gorgeous... only problem is that another sil already called it! :-( (I'm a bit annoyed b/c they knew I liked it.) Anyway, I ended up getting a very nice dress from Lord and Taylor, also Adrianna Papell, but from last season so it was on sale and cost 140.
Good luck. At least purple is very "in" now so there are a lot of options.

That dress is georgeous. It looks like Macy's has it in dark purple.
