hi,
how do you spell aryeh (boys name) in english?
I know someone who spells it like the way I did above, but really its pronounced with a tzereh but spelled that way in english its like its with a segol. ie. how would I spell it so that the ending sounds like "yay"?

My brother spells it the way you did (Aryeh) and is pronounced the way you are looking for. The only other spelling I have seen is Arieh.

I haven't seen it spelled this way, but will look like "yay" sound:

The most common I've seen is Aryeh, pronounced Are-yay

I never heard it pronounced not "yay"! How else can you pronounce it? We call our Aryeh - Ari anyway.

same here; if there's a "yeh", there's a "yay". I prefer dropping the second half.

I have an Aryeh too. I pronounce it with the "yay" (we don't call him Ari) but I spell it "Aryeh" and have never seen it any other way. I did once meet someone whose last name was Arieh, though. So it gets mispronounced - who cares?
