degree in music therapy

Hi. I'm looking to get a degree in music therapy and I don't know where to start. Is there anyone out there that can guide me?

If I were you, I would investigate to see what the job opportunities in your area are like for a music therapist. Although it's a valid degree and probably a very fulfilling job, I've heard from people who have done it that there isn't much of a market for hiring. Many of them are unemployed or doing work in a different field. So the best thing to do would be to contact someone in your area who is a music therapist. You can ask her about schooling, and most importantly, find out about jobs. Good luck!

I am already a music teacher and I think there is a very big need for a music therapist. I know that I want to do it, I just don't know where to start. I live in NY
