I had cold cuts in mind for dinner today. how do I make a nice sandwich? not just plain coldcuts mustard n roll. I want to make it more substantial and more interesting so I dont feel guilty...

you could use club bread if you have
you could make russian dressing to smear on bread first by mixing ketchup and mayo
you could add lettuce, sliced tomato, pickles
if it's pastrami, you could fry it up with bbq sauce and fried onions
how about serving salad or fries or sweet potato fries with garlic mayo with it on the side

I used to buy from a take out place on Ave J, pita with cold cuts and cole slaw. The cole slaw was inside the sandwich unless you asked for it on the side and it was delicious!! Too bad they're not there anymore.
