We are having guests for lunch. It s our first time. We are not so much into simamin. So it's kiddush, hamotzi, then what? We might do a fish head. What about the apples and honey? What about the new fruit? I guess I never paid attention before. I want to do what everyone would be comfortable with.

Like catonmlap said, most people do it at night, but otherwise, we just go in order of the "hundred's" of pamphlets we have. Want one? Come take one from us .

Most people do simanim at night- either the first night or both. New fruit is done the second night only. Lunch meals are like shabbat lunch.
