What's the average life expectancy of a sheital/fall when worn pretty often (not everyday but at least once a week)?

Depends on many factors. A high quality piece will last longer, high quality virgin hair will last longer then cheap again processed hair. Also the base well last longer on a person with dry skin vs. oily skin, add oil causes things to breakdown faster even good hair.
Average wear for a high quality piece its between 3-5 years. I have seen pieces last as long add ten to fifteen, but those people had 3-4 pieces at any given time.

I had one sheital (European Human hair) for 12 years. I still have it, but it started getting some bald spots (mostly under my band, so I still wear it as a backup) so I replaced it. My new sheital (human hair, but not the same quality IMO) is about a year and a half old and starting to get bald spots.
I wear my sheital whenever I am out of my house, so it gets a good amount of wear.

From what I hear after a couple of years any wig, no matter the quality will need upkeep ie: hair replaced, etc.
