I want to go on vacation.
I want to go out to eat for no special occasion and order whatever I want
I want to buy clothes and makeup and another shaitel
I want to be able to hire cleaning help and babysitters
I want to be able to live in an apartment with an extra bedroom instead of sleeping in a one bedroom with a baby.
I want to have another car so I don't have to always drive dh to work and rely on rides and waiting.
I want to be able to buy my kids clothes that are not secondhand and toys that are not used.
I want to buy foods that everyone else eats without worrying about the price.
I want to do fun activities and go places that cost money for my family to enjoy.
Can anyone relate?
Thanks for letting me vent.

I can relate, but don't have any advice to give you, but yes I know it stinks.
I work long hours, commute, barely see my kids, no downtime, no cleaning help, no DH, no spare money for anything nice, sheital, makeup etc. PPl on FS eat much much better than we do
so yes there's a I think a bunch of ppl in the same boat if that makes it any easier for you, but I also tend to look at those who are better off and then I get hurt.

I am grateful for the good I have but I would still like to enjoy some other things in life. I wish I did not have to work at a job I do not like just because we need the money.

I'm the same way so I keep on entering those Chinese auctions hoping to get some luxuries that dh can't take the mony for and use to pay bills

Op sounds tough...but if you look at your life ...you will probably agree that you have soooo many things that bring you true happiness, that materialistic things couldn't give you.
