(Anoymous becuase the whole NY and NJ know who I am by now!!!)
We have been looking for an apartment in Lakewood for MONTHS, and have not found anything. My daughter is starting school in Lakewood (we are still in Brooklyn) on MONDAY!! Does anyone know of anything other than what is listed in the Masa Umatan, Voice and BP? I also tried the hachnosas orchim numbers listed in the BP. Nothing is working out.
If you have any knowledge of an apartment other than what is listed above, PLEASE, PLEASE post asap!!!

It may help if you explain why all the apartments listed in the Masa Umatan and BP, etc.. are not good for you. What are you looking for?

Nothing has worked out, either were too small, asking too much rent, taken by someone else before we got to lakewood, etc...we've been looking for three bedroom, either above ground, or even basement if light and airy. Nothing has worked out with those, so now we are desperate to just find a temporary. We are still holding on to our apartment in Brooklyn to have over yom tov, becuase we just really didn't know what would happen....So I would even pack my myself and dh and our two small kids into a one bedroom, for short term, but I can't spend $1,000 on a one bedroom!

my friend's sil is moving to Lakewood but wanted to rent out their house in September. going to message her now for contact info, I saw this on a FB group dedicated to apts for rent.

No, we haven't done this. We are just like all the other people out there looking for apartments.......it's just really hard doing it long distance, and what has been happening most of the time is that the apartments that are great are taken, even having someone in Lakewood helping us out.

I did that "becuase" spelling twice!! Oy. I'm typing too quickly.
