Reposting this because it was off-topic on the Japanese Hair Straightening post....
How do those of you that have had the keratin treatment done to your hair deal with going to the mikvah? I just got the keratin treatment done and I am loving it, but the stylist told me to avoid chlorine, as it strips the product from my hair. Well, the mikvah has chlorine, so that's just going to have to happen. She said that if I do go swimming, I should use a leave in conditioner to protect my hair, but leave-in conditioners are also no-nos for the mikvah, as they leave a film in your hair (specifically the reason why the stylist told me to use one!). What do you all do?

Actually, I learned in Kallah Class that many rabbeim permit a light conditioner when going to the mikvah if its a situation where there is concern that the chlorine will damage it. I believe rav prager paskens this way. Check with your LOR.
