I work per diem on a per/case basis. Right now my case load brings in about $600/month--which is no where near enough for us to be making it. I keep calling, no new cases right now. What to do? DH's kollel brings in about 400/month--when it comes. Him working right now is not really an option. What to do until things pick up?

Maybe sign up with more agencies? Borrow money for the time being?Do you have any money in savings you can use?

I'm in the same boat. I work per diem and don't bring in too much. I know the job market is difficult, but can you get hired with another agency too so that you can get cases from them?

Maybe you can find another job to supplement your income ie receptionist and when your case load picks up you can choose to leave or cut down your hours if you can afford to do so.
