Help Dress My Friend For the Red Carpet!

My friend is attending a very high-profile entertainment event in a couple weeks...red carpet, photo shoot, the whole nine yards.

The only problem? She can't find a tznius gown. She **refuses** to wear a cardigan or shrug or bolero or shell. She needs high-fashion, tznius, and bargain-basement prices. (I know, I know.)

Any suggestions for the NYC area, and for under $300?

I was totally lost when she asked me, which is why I figured I'd post here. (Like I always do for advice)

TIA!!!!!

She should go to a gown store such as exquisite in Boro Park or even rent a dress from a store like Bridal Direct on coney island ave.
As in a wedding gown...mother of bride or sis of bride.

I was at exquisite gowns last summer and they had a very nice selection of gowns. I think most we're in the $300 range and that's to buy! Most other places charge at least that much to rent.
