Any ideas of a sefer to give as a bar mitzvah gift to a yeshivaish boy? I know $15 is low but thats my budget.

Hmmm, Sefer HaChinuch. Maybe an interesting sefer on the parsha so he can always have a Dvar Torah. If it's around a certain time of year, you could get him a Selichos, Kinnos, Machzor, etc., and maybe have his name embossed on it. Also, most bookstores should be able to help you, so go in and tell them your budget and see what they can offer you. You can also window-shop at eichlers.com.
