Attention amothers in London!
DH is going to be shechting in Stamford Hill, at the corner of 135 Clapton Common and Darenth Road.
He absolutely will NOT allow anyone to abuse the chickens. He always makes sure they have food and water, and has been known to walk off the job more than once if he feels that the animals have been mistreated.
He's been schechting all over the world for many, many years, and he believes with all his heart that when you do a mitzvah with animals, the weight of Heaven is on your shoulders to be as swift and painless as possible.
Please, no debates about whether chicken kapparos are barbaric or not. That belongs in a different thread and we go over this every year. I'm just putting this info out to be helpful to those who have the minhag.
I hope this helps, and may we all have a good judgement for the New Year!

He arrives in London in Wednesday, I'm not sure of the time schedule for when they're going to be working. He's sleeping right now, and leaving first thing in the morning. Bli neder if I find out in time I'll post it.
BTW, he's not making a penny off of doing this. They rabbonim pay for his plane ticket, and that's it. He's doing it purely for the mitzvah, so that he knows it's done right. Rabbis come from all over to see him.
