I saw this in another thread, it sounds really good. Do you have a recipe?

Thanks!

Mine is:

Cook and drain pasta (we like the bow tie shape, but elbow macaroni works too)

Brown bread crumbs with sugar in some oil

Mix.

Serve.

Yum.

Carb al gabay carb. Thumbs Up

Thanks! How do you serve it? Do you serve this as a side dish for a fleishig meal?

Yes it's a starch side dish. My kids hate baked chicken, so I serve it together to sweeten the deal for them.

Gezzacly. I cook macaroni in a pot and drain. My kids prefer the mini shells or the mini wheels. It also goes pretty well with the mini bowties. Or elbows if you prefer... in a separate pot, I brown breadcrumbs with oil and sugar, until it has a nice, dark brown-but-not burnt color. Mix the two and it's DELISHUS. I usually serve it on Sundays with grilled chicken breast strips. (I marinate the strips in a mixture of olive oil and spices - salt, paprika, a dash of oregano, a dash of garlic powder, a dash of parsley flakes, and some barbecue sauce, and cook 'em in my grill pan, a few minutes on each side.) It's a really quick and easy to prepare side dish.

Do the breadcrumbs stick to the pasta without anything else to attach it?
Do you rinse the pasta after draining it?

This sounds unhealthy and yummy, thanks! What's the ratio of breadcrumbs to sugar and how much for a box of pasta?

if you just heat the crumbs in a pot or pan with some oil it'll sweeten on its own, no sugar needed.

yes, drain the pasta. to be honest, I don't measure. I fill the bottom of a saucepan with enough breadcrumbs so that it's not swimming in oil, and throw in like a spoonful of sugar Very Happy

Sorry. when I asked about "draining," in my head I was asking if I should rinse the pasta after draining....
