we are driving from the east coast to the midwest and are thinking of stopping over in philly- any suggestions of things to do? 2 girls- 6 and 2- thanks

It depends on what you're looking for. If all you want is a stop to let the girls run around, then the Please Touch Museum is great. However, in my opinion, while it's a great children's museum, it isn't anything super extraordinary or unique. If you're looking for something a little more exceptional, the Philadelphia Art museum is very nice, and the children's summer program (Art Splash) is still running until Labor Day, I believe. You don't say when you're coming; although the art museum really does do a lot of kids programming-check their schedule. There's also the zoo.
