Hi,
My DH and I are interested in possibly moving to Houston. If we go we would rent first because we are not sure if it would be a fit, but we are willing to give it a try. We visited there a few years ago, but only for a Shabbos. We liked it and would like to know more from anyone that lives there or who has lived there. We like the Young Israel community with Rabbi Wender. My DH's job is transferable so that is not an issue here, BH.
If you have any thoughts to share we would be most grateful.

We lived in Houston for awhile. In the Lubavitch part...pm me if you want details.
We had a lot of positive experiences, and it's a close knit community. I'll be happy to give you more recommendations, and details.

There are a lot of nice lubab families there but I am not crazy about the head shliach. I find he kind of strong holds people. If you have a choice to live elsewhere then I would.

I am anon b/c I know several people on this site and we have not revealed to anyone that we are thinking of leaving our community.
We are interested in the Young Israel section with Rabbi Wender, not the Lubabavitch part.
