In the winter I practically live in my black corduroy skirt and it has seen better days. I would love to replace it but I'm having trouble finding another one. Maybe some of you know of places to look that I haven't already considered.

Specifications:

1. Black
2. I prefer knee length, but I'm short so just above the knee for many people would probably be long enough for me and I can cut down a long skirt if it's not too flary.
3. Plus size, not just XL
4. Not too much material, preferably a slight A-line or pencil skirt
5. I prefer corduroy, but at this point I would take any material that would keep me warm and is washable (no dry cleaning!)
6. Decent quality that will hold up to frequent wearing and washing and being grabbed by grubby little hands

TIA!

Maybe you can take your old skirt to a seamstress and have her sew the same thing again

I've seen a lot of mock suede skirts this season in the Jewish stores. They are both warm and washable.

I looked around but did not find anything that fit all your criteria. as far as corduroy is concerned, talbots usually makes the most practical ones but the black is always the first to be sold out. they make it every winter so maybe you'll catch it next season.

the next best thing to corduroy in terms of warmth is probably velvet. luckily that's very in. unluckily it's a bit more on the dressy side and possibly not as practical. here are several versions of velvet skirts:
