Anyone know of a place more in the $30 range?

This is what happens when you mention that you're thinking of maybe looking into getting the girls earrings with their birthday money, and then some wiseguy shouts out "hey kids, we're getting you earrings!" Rolling Eyes

It's All a Gift on Ave M. I think it was $35 but it was a couple years ago so definitely could be remembering wrong. Might also depend which earrings you choose. But I was very happy with the experience we had there.

Any idea what the price range is at Golden Treasures? I actually might have the kids somewhere near there soon.

IIRC, the piercing is included in the cost of the earrings. So just choose the cheapest piercing kit available. It could be things changed over the years but I think I remember some $35 options.

did you bother to scout the website I posted? Claire's has quite the variety of prices & choices - here to list a few:

Stainless Steel 3mm Ball - Standard Solution = $18.99

Stainless Steel Rainbow Crystal Daisy - Standard Solution = $29.99

Titanium 3mm Purple [& pink] Ball - Standard Solution = $18.99

14KT Yellow Gold 3mm Ball - Standard Solution = $44.99

14KT White Gold 3mm birthstone - Standard Solution = $54.99

I did, I'm just not sure about the stainless steel and titanium options because all my very stereotypically Jewish parents/inlaws/grandparents drilled into us the idea that only gold will do for their precious little grand-earlobes. But my scientific husband is like "they use stainless steel for hip implants, why isn't it good enough for earrings?" So claire's is back on the table LOL

get them pierced within your price range keeping in mind sensitive ears ... if the grand parents care about the status of ear lobes they can purchase presents later on ... lol
