I really wanted to go away but those plans just fell through.
Ive been eating/spending every yom tov and shabbos at my parents and it's a bit overkill.
We don't really have a succa to use properly in our building so we can't make our own meals.
I teach in this community, live in it and have spent all the yomim tovim here basically, I want change and Im looking for ways to make it more exciting, different, fun etc.
maybe interesting chol hamoed trips etc.

Why not find a beis chabad that needs your help and go there? You could do bikur choilim, help motehrs with newborns, etc..gthere are many worthy ways to spend your time that wil help others.

CM, I don't think that's really an option for an entire family. It's kind of hard for people to put up an entire family for yom tov - especially so last minute.

Actually, from what we've read in the past about la456, I think it's just her & her DH right now, so CM's suggestion is a good one.
Do you have friends who may be able to have you for a meal or 2 so you get to see people other than your family?

I would go to a shliach but my Dh is quite happy to be in CH 4 succos and Im not eager to use yet another mikvah out of town. Yup it's only me and Dh for now.

It's a trade off. It's very nice to sit togethefr in the sukkah, but then you can't have so many ppl.
I actually like sitting in the house with a bunch of lady friends.
