Would anyone in Philly know of a clean place I can stay for a night (August 7), near the hospital? Am coming in from NY to take my dd to see a specialist team and it would be nice to have a quiet clean place to regroup and re-charge. No need to provide food or anything like that.
Bonus if we could sleep over on Monday night, as we are scheduled to see the team on Tues. at 8 a.m. We'd be going back to NY Tues. afternoon.
Thanks!

Unfortunately we don't have any guest space but PM me if you would like me to ask my friends if they have space here in Bala Cynwyd (a 25-30 minute drive from Hahnemann). There is also the Bikur Cholim apartment in CHOP, just a $1.80 trolley ride away. If you PM me I can also try to see if the Chabad family at Penn can host you -- they are also just a quick walk and trolley ride away.
Philly also has many lovely hotels within walking distance of Hahnemann, but I assume that's not what you're looking for?

I really appreciate all of this. The problem with hotels is that dd has severe allergies to chemical cleaners etc. The bed linens are usually washed with chemical detergents, the rooms are usually sprayed with chemical air fresheners, toilets cleaned with chemicals, etc. etc.
It's best if dd can be rested for her 8 a.m. team meeting. It's a five hour team assessment :-(
If we can sleep over on Monday night, we might just be rested for the long day ahead on Tuesday.
Otherwise, we'd leave NY as early as 4 or 4:30 a.m.

OP, I hate to be nosy; I'm just looking to connect with other mothers in a similar situation. Does your dd have other allergic issues or is this her only one? I have a child with a rare allergic condition. I would love if you pm me. Thanks!

Her last name is Schwartz or Swartz, I think. If you need help getting from there to the hospital please PM me and I will personally walk you there, bli neder (with the help of the trolley or bus, depending on if your DD is okay being underground).
