Anyone added extra aound proofing to already existing house? I rent out my basement and hear everything and from upstairs to downstairs in my own house and from room to room hear everything... its making me nuts..any1 did anything that helps and is not a fortune? I located in lakewood, nj. Thx

It's going to be very expensive because you are going to have to rip out the entire ceiling in order to do it. Soundproofing should be done before a house is finished. Also, if the ac and heating systems are downstairs in the basement it will not be a complete solution because you'll hear things through the vents. Still, it should help minimize a lot of the noise.
