Update: I've found almost everyone! I think I may add all the wives of Ashkenazi leaders of the past few hundred years so this can be a matter list Smile

I'm frustrated in my search for the names of the wives of gedolim.
I can find information on ones that passes away in more recent years, but the internet doesn't seem to have the names of any that died prior to the 1970s!
There's no person in particular I'm looking for. We just like to name after great people and our Rav feels it's good to name after someone modern day instead of just the original Tanach source.

If anyone knows the name of the wife of any of the listed rabbis, please let me know!

The chofetz chaim was married twice. His second wife's name was Miriam Frieda.

Wife of the Vilna Gaon was Gittel

Wife of Rav Pam was Sarah

2 women that come to mind as well are Sarah Schenirer and Reb. Vichna Kaplan.

I'm descended from someone whose name is given by people who want to honor the person or the character traits. Honestly, I find it odd.

Name for your own ancestors, or for our common ancestors in Tanach. Why choose the name of a random good person you've never met?

Yudit Montefiore wife of moses.

I always thought she was a special person to name after. She helped her husband, all her life, in his avodas hakodesh. It wasn't easy.

She I'm wasn't zocheh to have children.
