Long time no see! Welcome back and b'shaa tova!
What a lovely list.
I only read p. 1. Can I ask if you or your husband have any connection whatsoever to anyone on the list, either through having learned from/met them, learned their seforim, read biographies and were touched? Without going through your list, there is something about Rav Chaim Shmulevitz, zt"l that so inspires me. (And when I saw his daughters on a video one fast day, I was moved to tears by their incredible hadras panim.) Rav Simcha Wasserman and his wife had beautiful sholom bayis.

If, however, you choose a name of someone who died young or tragically, you might want to ask a rav if it's advisable to add a name. Just MHO. I never tell my kids who to name after, just make sure it's a normal name the kid can live with. This is the kind of advice I might offer them too, so please understand where it's coming from.

Sometimes this is true, but sometimes a talmid chochom was just married off to the daughter of a rich man. Prestige for her, money for him, and the deal was done.

There were virtuous women who were married to water carriers. I can understand wanting to connect with someone special, but if all you know is who she married, then you don't know much at all.

True. But there were also great men from way back, I.e not 1900s and beyond, whose beautiful hespedim for their wives are in print.

Quiet a few women on this list died young as their husbands married twice. And some of them didn't have children. I would name after grandparents or a rav of our community or the like.

My brother named his daughter after Rebbetzin Leibowitz. They were told to add a name.
