probably depends on the circumstances, but if it's no kind of emergency I would send a new game, offer to order dinner one night for the family, and also send something nice for Shabbat (chocolates, a pretty washing cup, cookbook for the mom - whatever you think will be appreciated). And of course a hand-written thank you note after you return.
