In 2 income families where there is not enough food r'l, and they are going to bed hungry, does that occur mainly in families that have multiple children (more than 2-4)?

We struggle bc of tuition so if it got to that point I'd take my kids out and homeschool.

I cant think of a reason why a couple with two full time jobs couldn't pay for food unless they had sudden overwhelming expenses and/or crushing debt.

If someone is from a two income family with two kids and don't have food there are resources out there. There are plenty of Kosher food pantries. Unfortunately many years ago we did research out of necessity and found lots of places to get food. If someone is that desperate they should speak to the Rav, local councilman, local JCC or UJA. There is also a way to get emergency food stamps.
That being said I know someone that is constantly telling people she has no money for food when she decides to spend her money on what I consider extravagances as she wants to live up to her neighbors/friends. She'd rather wear the latest style pocketbook her husband drives a fancy car then buy food for her family. She also refuses to use resources that are available to her. It's a very sad situation and I feel terrible for the kids. Unfortunately there is nothing that I can do. It is a sickness.
