Please share if you purchased a shaitel and were thrilled with it.

Which brand?
How much did you pay?
How long did the shaitel last?

Style by Shira, in Teaneck.
$600 sale
It’s pretty new but the feel and look of it so far is on par with some of my expensive wigs, and right now it’s my favorite.
She has an Instagram feed, if you want to see what her selection looks like.

I think it’s amazing that you spent under $1000 and are so happy with the shaitel! I wonder if I could purchase without trying on....

I had a Kiki wig that lasted for about 10 years. I paid $1600 for it, back then. It had beautiful hair and the settings lasted so nicely in it.

I was just coming here to say the same thing! My Irene holds great in all weathers. It was cheap $1200 and a beautiful color.

I’ll be following this thread because im looking into purchasing a new wig and I want to know if it’s sort it spending more money for a better company or stuck with an Irene.

Miri. I paid less than 1500 and love everything about it. It holds a set for a very long time. The color is still great and the cap is so comfy.

I also love my Irene! The shades are nice for lighter hair colors, with a more natural look than some other brands. I have the Dolce not the VIP. $1350

Fortune wigs, and let’s just say the name of the establishment reflects what you might pay. But they have a less expensive line as well, the Mazalis.

I’d say you get what pay for, and you shouldn’t expect a $600 wig to last as long as an expensive one. Let us know in a year if you still have it.

Have any of you bought full custom, in other words your head was measured and it was made from scratch for you? Or are you all referring to the ones you buy right off the shell, semi custom? Because I always have to have my head measured, the others are too small...

I’m thinking of a Kiki.. I wonder if they are still as good as then.

I heard the hair is really nice and glossy.

What style did you have it in that’s it was ok for ten years?

Got a Kiki (measured my head, but I think it was semi-custom anyway) 5 years ago. Still looks and feels brand new. I paid around $2k.

I had a Kiki that I wore as my everyday sheitel for 6 years. I ended up getting a new one because I wanted a new style, but my old one was really not dead yet. I could have worn it longer.

I ended up getting 2 new Kiki's. This was about a year and a half ago. I have been very happy with the brand. It's very nice hair and a pretty comfortable cap.

I have one, and I'm very very happy worth it.
Definitely worth the money.
