On to answer your question. I have been on it before, but don’t remember exact details (hence me googling it...) here is what I do remember:
It is based not only on physical aspects, but psychological as well. He gives a deep explanation of how habits are formed and how we form habits based on positive associations with certain actions . I can go into more detail if you want.
Then he says you want to change your habits for life, so should only make one change a week so that it is sustainable. Don’t remember exact order, but changes end up being about five weeks I think— three meals, snacks and exercise. For example, first week all you do is change one meal a day to a water-based meal. I.e. all fruits (melons and berries preferably) or all vegetables (soup, steamed veggies, salad).
Then I don’t remember exact order but other two meals end up being one mostly veggies with protein topping and other one much more typical and balanced by today’s standards (again, don’t remember details)
Then snacks are typical what you would imagine of any diet, a lot of water, and exercise...
That’s what I remember. There are different rules for maintenance though.
