Hi! We are traveling to Israel for the chag and I realized one of my kids haven’t received the Hep A shot yet. I will call the pediatrician when the office opens to ask about it, but I’m just wondering if anyone knows if it’s necessary to get it before going to Israel? I did make sure all kids are up to date with the MMR, I didn’t think about Hep A tho Confused

It can't hurt to make sure everyone is up to date.

When I was in seminary in E"Y, a girl got Hepatitis A. They came down and gave shots to the whole seminary. B"H no one else caught it.

So I would say yes, it's important.
