My kids really want to interact and play with puppies and kittens. Where can we take them? Tri-state area. Thanks!

Ask your local animal shelter.
Be prepared for lots of tears when you come home without a new pet (or two).

The shelters here don't allow volunteers anymore unless it's on a regular set recurring schedule.

There is an animal shelter in Kensington
Sean Casey I think. Or find one near you
They also allow you to wAlk the larger dogs
Also you can go visit petco or petsmart
Some are friendlier and allow playing with animals

Please don't go into pet stores. Don't support the sale of puppies in such places (or at all).

By walking in, it supports the whole practice.
