Spin-off of those talking about fashion and style, how much people spend.

Let's shmooze about it. How dressed up do you get on a weekday? What does your look cost?

Today I am wearing a Dana Buchman skirt from Kohls in shades of blue and green and black. along with a Croft and Barrow blue crew neck tee shirt. The skirt was on sale for less than $10, the tee for less than $8. On top of this a black linen 3/4 sleeve unlined v-neck shirt/jacket which I probably got in TJ Maxx or Burlington for under $20 some years ago.

Crocs shoes I bought on sale, $22 max but likely less. Blue ombre tichel I did spend a bit more, $12 (though most of mine are under $10, most actually under $5). Earrings & necklace are mother of pearl shell with shades of blue & teal which I made, probably cost me under $10 for the set, maybe even under $5.

I had to be in several places today so I wanted to be a bit more dressed up than my usual work-at-home look.

Shoes $15 payless sale years ago, they have holes but I'm not comfortable in any other shoes
Beanie 6 dollars from my friend who made it for me
Shaitel band 20 because I like it to hold on my beanie

Skirt - Burlington - around $15
T-shirt - Kohls - around $15
Necklace - Burlington - around $10
Shoes - Dansko - around $70 but I wear them daily for 3+ y already (have feet problems)
Handbag - Burlington or TJMaxx - around $20-25 (my spring-fall bag for the 3rd year)

This is my uniform almost every day. But I change up the tee shirts and the shoes. Sometimes I’ll wear a different color pencil skirt. Even more rarely I’ll wear a denim skirt. Once in a while, a dress.

What’s wrong with spending on yourself??? At this moment I’m wearing a

Ralph wig: $3,700
Bassler suit: $1,100 ( was on sale from $2,000)
Steward Weitzman shoes:$500( you can’t put a price on comfort)
Stockings: $12 ( since I bought a dozen it came out to only $12 a pair
Purse: Coach bag for only $375( was on sale at Macys Memorial day sale)

I don’t cover my hair at home but if I go out I would put on a headscarf , $40?
